Every July, runners line up at Twin Brooks Park for the Trumbull Rotary Sunset Run. That equipment collects sweat and dust faster than almost anything else in the house.
After every workout
- Wipe treadmill and bike handles, console edges, and seat surfaces.
- Wipe dumbbell and kettlebell grips and bench pads.
- Hang towels to dry instead of leaving them on equipment.
Weekly
- Mats: wipe both sides with a mild cleaner suited to the material and let them dry flat.
- Floor: vacuum around and under machines, where dust and hair collect.
- Rubber flooring: damp-mop with a gentle cleaner; avoid harsh solvents.
- Mirrors and windows: clean fingerprints and splashes.
