The short answer

Cover the table, carve in one area, and scoop pulp straight into a bowl. Wipe the table and floor while the pulp is still wet. Dried pumpkin is much harder to remove.

For fall crafts, use washable supplies when you can and work on a covered surface. Glitter is easiest to pick up with a lint roller or a damp cloth before you vacuum.
