The short answer
Before the cleaning, you need the trades finished, large debris removed, water and power on, and a clear scope of what is left on site. We bring the cleaning equipment and supplies.
Renovation dust settles on every ledge, inside cabinets, and in vents. A post-construction clean clears it so the space is ready to live in. Whether the project is a kitchen in a house off Route 202 or a finished basement in Granite Springs, a few things need to be in place first.
1. The work is finished
Schedule the final clean after the last trade leaves. If construction is still going on during or after we clean, the dust comes back, and under our terms the cleaning is still billed. If dust from ongoing work spreads through the rest of the house, the extra time is billed as well.
2. Debris is out
Large debris, dumpster loads, and hauling are not part of a cleaning. Ask your contractor to remove scrap, packaging, and leftover materials, and tell us what will still be on site so we can say what we can handle.
3. Water, power, and access
- Running water and working outlets for equipment.
- Lights in every room we need to clean.
- A key, lockbox, or code, and an alarm code if a system is active.
4. A clear scope
Tell us which rooms were worked on and which were only dusted. Mention paint, caulk, or adhesive residue. We remove residue only with methods that won't scratch the surface, so some finishes may need the contractor's attention. Exterior windows, pressure washing, and floor refinishing are quoted separately.
Rough clean or final clean?
Some projects use two visits: a rough clean between trades and a final clean once everything is installed. Our guide on rough clean vs. final clean explains the difference.
